Archtop Octave Mandolins

The octave mandolin is a fretted string instrument with four pairs of strings tuned in fifths, G, D, A, E (low to high), tuned an octave below a mandolin. It is larger than the mandola, but smaller than the mandocello and its construction is like other instruments in the mandolin family.
Our Archtop Octave Mandolins are inspired by the L5 Archtop guitar style body of the early 1920’s. Each Octave Mandolin has a 14″ lower bout, 21.78″ scale length and produces a very powerful, resonant tone.
